There is a little battle going on. And some of you may have picked up a hint of it in one of your English classes. Perhaps it was the time when you spelt organisation with a ‘z’ and your British teacher softly, but firmly, reminded you that it is better spelt with an ‘s’. That would be how Mr. Cambridge would spell it!

Yes, it’s true. American and British people have long been at odds about whose version of English is more correct or acceptable. Great pride is taken on both sides in how words are used… but it seems that the Americans are more chilled out about the whole thing and it’s the British that get their “knickers (pants) in a knot” regarding how English is spoken.
